The Northern New Jersey Traumatic Brain Injury System (NNJTBIS), funded by NIDILRR, is one of only 14 such model systems in the nation conducting research into the evaluation and treatment for individuals with brain injury. Kessler Foundation Research Center (KFRC) and Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, in cooperation with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ-NJMS), Morristown Memorial Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Medical Center, are focusing on the continuum of care from the onset of injury through acute care and rehabilitation to community reintegration and long-term follow-up.
