Abstract:

Article reviews research demonstrating how biological markers of inflammation can be used to improve recovery and enhance quality of life for people with traumatic brain injury. By identifying patterns of inflammatory genes and proteins that increase an individual’s risk for poor outcomes, the authors hope to generate tailored screening, prevention, and treatment protocols.
