Mohamed’s Traumatic Brian Injury Journey

Mohamed grew up with a childhood friend who confronted the challenge of traumatic brain injury (TBI) from a severe car accident. The struggle of his friend had an emotional effect on Mohamed, which helped determine his future professional pursuit. To contribute to the TBI community, Mohamed spent time supporting his friend and others with TBI. He developed a series of webinars known as “TBI Talks” through his Neuro Innovation and Leadership club at his high school and college to provide educational opportunities on TBI and allow people with TBI to share their stories and coping strategies. As lead of a research program at pre-health shadowing, Mohamed had a chance to share and popularize MSKTC resources among patients and medical practitioners. He is planning to attend medical school to help patients with TBI and neurological conditions.

What does Mohamed think of the quality, usefulness, and user-friendliness of MSKTC resources?

The resources provided by Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC) are not just informative, they're a beacon of hope and understanding in a journey often shrouded in uncertainty, offering essential guidance and support to those navigating the complexities of Traumatic Brain Injury
