David X. Cifu, MD, is Associate Dean of Innovation and System Integration and Herman J Flax Professor and Chairman of the Department of PM&R in the VCU School of Medicine. He is PI of the DOD/DVA funded $62M Chronic Effects of Neurotrauma Consortium (CENC) and the $50M Long‐term Impact of Military‐relevant Brain Injury Consortium (LIMBIC, LIMBIC-CENC). Dr. Cifu is Co-Project Director of the Virginia TBI Model System. He serves as Senior TBI Specialist for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Research Consultant for the US Department of Defense, and Director of Sports Sciences for the National Hockey League Florida Panthers.
