Abstract:

This project aims to develop a more sensitive measure for the continued study of functional changes between one and ten years after traumatic brain injury (TBI). We plan to conduct IRT and factor analytic studies of potential item variables. If a viable measure can be developed, differential item functioning (DIF) on age, gender, and race/ethnicity will be examined as well as the relationship of the combined measure to other potential predictor variables.
