Abstract:
Study examined the relationship between neuropsychological test performance and the status of employment and academic pursuit outcomes at 1 year following traumatic brain injury (TBI). Variables used in the analysis included demographic factors, injury severity indices, and neuropsychological test scores. Results indicated that neuropsychological performance at 1 year following TBI was related to concurrent productivity status, after controlling for demographic factors and injury severity. This information is useful to clinicians in making recommendation about a patient's current potential for return to employment and/or to school.
