Abstract:
Study used a participatory action research approach to examine the accessibility experiences of people with and without disabilities seeking information about local and state government facilities, programs, and services. Overall, results indicated that some progress in providing access has been achieved but that other barriers persist; access for individuals with vision-related disabilities may be most problematic. Findings suggest that more needs to be done to achieve full accessibility and inclusion.
