Abstract:
Article outlines the types of cognitive problems that can occur after traumatic brain injury (TBI). They include: difficulties with attention and concentration; problems with processing and understanding information; language and communication problems; problems learning and remembering new information; problems with planning and organization; difficulty with reasoning, problem solving, and judgment; and inappropriate, embarrassing, or impulsive behavior. Suggestions for things family members can do to help are offered.
