Abstract:
Article examines the relationship between cognitive rehabilitation and cognitive science, discusses barriers to collaboration between the 2 fields, and suggests ways to overcome those barriers. Cognitive science develops theories to explain how brain processes produce mental activities. Cognitive rehabilitation attempts to ameliorate specific acquired impairments in an individual's thinking and functioning following brain injury.
