This is a part of the Hot Topic podcast series from the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center on Relationships After TBI. Dr. Emilie E. Godwin discusses How to find Help.

It’s very difficult to find help if you’re not in an urban setting or if you’re in an area of the country that’s just not focusing on brain injury recovery. But people can look to their state brain injury associations. I believe all states now have a brain injury association; I’m not sure about that. But if there’s not a brain injury association in their state people can look to the Brain Injury Association of America. Brain injury associations keep lists of qualified professionals in the area. So that’s probably the best place to start.
