Abstract:

Study of the frequency and severity of upper extremity pain in persons with spinal cord injury (SCI), and its association with functional activities. Types of treatments received by patients with SCI for upper extremity pain and the benefits of these treatments were also identified. Data are from 130 responses to a questionnaire mailed to 170 persons with SCI. It was found that the majority of respondents had upper extremity pain, and that this pain interfered with activities of daily living (ADL).
