Abstract:

Article reviewing the effects of aging of the musculoskeletal system in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). The discussion focuses on the upper extremity because the arms are more important to the function of persons with SCI and because shoulders and arms are more susceptible to problems as persons with SCI become older. Strategies to decrease pain in the upper extremity are discussed.
