Abstract:
This commentary provides an overview of the SCIRehab Project, designed to identify which of the many spinal cord injury (SCI) inpatient rehabilitation interventions are associated most strongly with positive outcomes at 1 year post-injury. Discussion focuses on the second phase of SCIRehab, which involves the analysis of treatment provided by each rehabilitation discipline. Subsequent articles in this journal issue provide details of the treatment processes and variations in interventions associated with patient characteristics.
