Abstract:
Article reviews the literature on psychological functioning (with a focus on depression) and aging in people with spinal cord injury and those with multiple sclerosis. It includes a discussion of positive psychological concepts such as posttraumatic growth and benefit finding, which are particularly important given that most individuals achieve healthy psychological adjustment despite the challenges of aging and disability.
