Abstract:
Article describes changes to the spinal cord following spinal cord injury (SCI). These changes usually involve scarring of the cord, referred to as tethering, or the development of a fluid-filled space, or cyst, above or below the level of the original injury. Signs and symptoms and treatment for spinal-cord cysts and tethering are discussed.
