Monique Pappadis, Ph.D. is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health and Health Disparities, School of Public and Population Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) and an Investigator at the TIRR Memorial Hermann Brain Injury Research Center. She is a Pilot Core Leader-in-Training and Fellow of UTMB's Claude D. Pepper Center and a Scholar of the Translational Research Scholars Program through the Institute for Translational Sciences. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has focused much of her work conducting field research on the needs of individuals with limited English proficiency and persons from diverse backgrounds. She has nearly 20 years of experience conducting patient-centered outcomes research. She has expertise in stakeholder engagement, program evaluation, mixed methods research, and culturally responsive dissemination. She is an emerging leader in diversity, equity and inclusion and aging.
