Factsheets for consumers should be written in such a way that the target audience can understand and apply the information from the factsheets in their daily lives. This tool provides information on how to test the MSKTC factsheets developed for spinal cord injury (SCI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and burn injury survivors and their families and friends who may participate in their care. Model System researchers should obtain feedback on how patients and caregivers view, react to, and might use a specific factsheet so that they can ensure that the factsheet is meeting the needs of those whom the system serves. This tool also presents an overview of the purpose and goals of conducting consumer testing and includes a detailed testing protocol and sample testing notes.
