Ph.D.
Dr. Yarar-Fisher trained as a physical therapist as an undergraduate and studied kinesiology for her doctoral studies. Her dissertation looked at the effects of whole body vibration on central and peripheral hemodynamic responses in persons with SCI. She has won numerous research awards in her young career including the Outstanding Graduate Student Award at Auburn and a Mary Switzer Merit Research Fellowship with which she studied novel interventions for diet and exercise to improve body composition and metabolic health in persons with SCI.
