Involvement from the field plays a critical role in the success of the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center (MSKTC). Periodically, we recruit individuals with burn injury and their family members to participate in MSKTC activities. Here is a listing of our current recruitment initiatives:
MSKTC Recruiting Participants for Burn Consumer Factsheet Testing
The MSKTC is recruiting individuals with burn injury and their caregivers to provide feedback on a new factsheet and video series on sexuality and intimacy after burn injury. To be eligible, participants must be at least 18 years old.
Interviews will last approximately 60 minutes. Participants will receive $25 for their time. Call 202-403-5600 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
Caregivers of Individuals with Burn Injury Needed for Research Study
MSKTC is conducting interviews with caregivers of individuals with burn injury. Answers from the interviews will be used for research purposes to better understand (a) the health information needs of caregivers of individuals with burn injury and (b) their participation in research studies.
To be eligible to participate, caregivers must meet the following criteria:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be a caregiver (non-paid) to a family member or close friend
- Must have provided care (previously or currently) for burn injury for a minimum of 1 year
- Must have access to and the ability to communicate over a phone
- Must speak English
Interviews will last approximately 60 minutes. Participants will receive $75 for their time.
